We, the sentient beings of Earth, individually declare dominion over our souls so that we may unite in peace and harmony for all.

Declaration in Three Parts

Universal Laws of Equanimity

Equanimity is defined as mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in a difficult situation. In the context of universal laws, it means “I am no more than you” and “I am no less than you” in a practice of calmness and acceptance. Through the practice of equanimity, we create respect for one another and create a fair and just way to live in harmony.

We each have basic rights at birth and in equal parts, we have responsibilities to make sure that each individual has access to those rights.

Community Building Council

Every community builds life the way they want it to be based on the principles of equanimity and inclusion.

While all of our basic rights are honored, there is a depth of compassion and understanding for all. We make sure that the hungry are fed, the homeless have shelter, and those struggling in all sorts of ways have access to the goods and services that are needed to sustain a high quality of life.

Restorative Justice Councils

It is inevitable that from time to time someone will forget the universal laws of equanimity. We tend to think most often of those times when someone oversteps and makes themselves more important than others. In those cases, we need to apply restorative justice and hold all accountable for their actions with a great deal of compassion.

On a personal level, it is also very easy to allow ourselves to believe that we are less than others. We must work as a society to appreciate and encourage each unique soul.

Universal Laws of Equanimity

May it be known that every sentient being be treated with equanimity. This means “I am no less than you” AND “I am no more than you”. This is both our birth right and responsibility.

Community Building Councils

Current government structures will give way to a series of community building councils designed to create peace and harmony by applying the universal laws of equanimity to ensure that each individual can live fully as an expression of their unique instance of energetic essence that is their soul.

Local Community Councils

Local community councils form to ensure the universal laws of equanimity for all those who live within the local community.

Regional community councils form to ensure the universal laws of equanimity for all those who live within all of the local communities within their jurisdiction. This level of council works with representatives of the local communities to resolve issues that smaller local communities may not be able to solve on their own.

Regional Community Councils

International Community Councils

National Community Councils

National community councils form to ensure the universal laws of equanimity to represent all who live within the states and local communities within its jurisdiction. This level of council works with representatives of each region to resolve issues that states and smaller local communities may not be able to solve on their own.

International community councils form to ensure the universal laws of equanimity for all those who live around the world. This level of council works with representatives of the national communities to resolve issues that national communities may not be able to solve on their own.

Community Building Council Formation

Any representative of a community building council at any level (e.g. local, state, national, or international) should be comprised by a group of individuals who are selected by those within their jurisdiction. All within the jurisdiction, regardless of age, gender, or any other defining characteristics are welcome to participate in the selection process.

To officially signify that you wish to be a part of a community building council, the following criteria need to be met:

  • You agree to act within the guidelines of the universal laws of equanimity. This means that you will act in good faith for those that selected you and not put yourself before those that you represent.

  • You publish a platform that describes your passion for community building, your purposeful intention for serving, and your plan of action for how you will participate with others during your time on the council.

  • You explain how your experiences and knowledge have created wisdom in leading your community.

  • You understand that community building is a shared responsibility by all and that your time as a member of the council is limited, so that others may also have share their wisdom with the community as well.

  • You are free from any party affiliations that impact your behavior or actions on the council. Being a member of a community building council is about creating peace and harmony. The goal is to find common ground and create consensus and the best possible outcome for everyone.

  • You will take responsibility for your actions and if, at any time, you are found to be working in opposition to peace and harmony that you will remove yourself from the council. Note that while disagreements and different opinions are to be expected, this is different than when you are working in opposition to the purpose of the council.

Council sizes reflect the populations that are contained within them.

  • Local community building councils can have 1 person per 1,000 people in the local community.

  • State community building councils can have 1 person per 100,000 people in the state.

  • National community building councils can have 1 person per 1,000,000 people in the nation.

  • International community building councils can have 1 person per nation. It is not the size of the nation being represented; it is the recognition of the different nations of the world.

Restorative Justice

There is no justice for anyone if there is not accountability with compassion for those that break the universal laws of equanimity.

Restorative justice seeks to examine the harmful impact of a crime and then determines what can be done to repair that harm while holding the person who caused it accountable for his or her actions.

When the consequence of someone’s actions is that they have to repair the harm that they have done, they will be able to gain knowledge and experience that they were lacking. They will be able to learn compassion for themselves and others in a meaningful way.

Rather than have a weaponized, punitive judicial system that throws away souls, the ultimate goal of restorative justice is to restore all to society in a peaceful state. To do this, restorative justice councils will be formed by volunteers from the community where the harm occurred to support both the offender and the injured party through a peace-making process.
